The Word of God- The OT is all about Jesus! Over 300 prophecies testifying of Jesus 1st coming. (Over 500 2nd)
Hebrews 10:7 “Behold, I have come – In the volume of the book it is written of Me – To do Your will, O God.”
38 But you do not have His word abiding in you, because whom He sent, Him you do not believe. 39 You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me.
Luke 23:44 “…all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.” 45 And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures.”
40 But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.

Deuteronomy 18:15 “The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your midst, from your brethren. Him you shall hear.”
❖ As a baby, Moses life was threatened, because of the decree of Pharaoh to kill all of the male Hebrew babies
As a baby, Jesus life was threatened, because of the decree of Herod to kill all of the male Hebrew babies in Bethlehem.
❖ Moses miraculously became Pharaoh’s daughters son. Jesus miraculously became Mary’s son.
❖ Moses was both the son of slaves & the son of a king! Jesus was both the Son of Man & the Son of God
❖ Moses childhood was spent in Egypt. Jesus childhood was spent in Egypt.
❖ Like Moses, Jesus chose to suffer affliction that he might save His people
❖ Like Moses, Jesus voluntarily relinquished riches, glory and a kingly palace!
❖ Moses was rejected by his brethren as there promised savior! Jesus was rejected by His brethren as there promised Savior!
❖ Rejected by His brethren…Moses took a gentile bride. (Zipporah)
So too rejected by His Jewish brethren …Jesus took a gentile bride! (Church)
❖ When Moses returned to His brethren a 2nd time as there deliverer they received him! So too Jesus at His 2nd coming will be received by His Jewish brethren! (Deliverer)
❖ Moses publicly defeated Pharaoh & his armies!
Jesus publicly defeated Satan & all principalities & powers at the Cross!
❖ Moses the deliverer set God’s people free from a life of slavery!
Jesus the deliverer came that He might set us free from a life of slavery to sin!
❖ Moses delivered God’s people by the blood of the lamb! Jesus, the lamb of God, has delivered us by His blood!
❖ Moses led God’s newly redeemed people through the Red Sea! Jesus leads newly redeemed people through the waters of Baptism!
❖ Moses delivered God’s people that they might serve & worship God! Jesus has delivered us that we might serve & worship God!
❖ Moses was the one mediator between God & Israel. Jesus is the one Mediator between God & man.
❖ Moses was the mediator of the Covenant that God made with Israel. Jesus is the Mediator of the New Covenant.
❖ Moses loved the people of Israel more than His own life! Jesus loved us…more than His own life!
❖ Moses was a humble man. Jesus was a humble man!
❖ Moses finished the work of the tabernacle.
Jesus finished the work of salvation on the cross.
❖ Moses returned to the Earth a 2nd time in glory!. Jesus will return to the Earth a 2nd time in Glory!
John 5:46 For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me.

Drifted away?
Turned back?
Some are dealing with drug or alcohol addiction, unfaithfulness, prison time, broken relationship, homosexuality, sexual sin, broken health, thoughts of suicide, pornography, anger, depression or maybe you are just plain discouraged.
Jeremiah 3:22 “Return, you backsliding children, And I will heal your backslidings.”
