Isaiah 6:1-4
1 In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the
Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the
train of His robe filled the temple.
2 Chronicles 26:3 Uzziah was sixteen years old
when he became king, and he reigned fifty-two
years in Jerusalem. 4 And he did what was right
in the sight of the Lord.5 He sought God in the
days of Zechariah, and as long as he sought the
Lord, God made him prosper. 15 So his fame
spread far and wide, for he was marvelously
helped till he became strong.
On top of King Uzziah dying… Judah was being
threatened by the brutal nation of Assyria to the
North.
In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord
sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the
train of His robe filled the temple.
It was when the OUTLOOK was bleak… that
Isaiah learned that the UPLOOK was glorious!
God was sitting on His throne!
It’s always so good to be reminded in troubling
times… that God is on His Throne!
1 Kings 22:19 I saw the Lord sitting on His
throne, and all the host of heaven standing by, on
His right hand and on His left.
Psalm 45:6 Your throne, O God, is forever and
ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter
of Your kingdom.
Psalm 89:14 Righteousness and justice are the
FOUNDATION of Your throne.
Righteousness and justice are not only
foundational to God’s Throne but they are
foundational to the GOSPEL!
There are 2 places in the Bible where we see that
God is on the throne surrounded by angelic beings
crying out “holy holy holy”
The Throne-book of the Bible. ( 46 times)
In the Throne chapter (13x in 11 verses)
Revelation 4
Exalted!
1 In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord
sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the
train of His robe filled the temple.
Isaiah 57:15 For thus says the High and Lofty
One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy:
“I dwell in the high and holy place, with him who
has a contrite and humble spirit, to REVIVE
the spirit of the humble, and to REVIVE the
heart of the contrite ones.
Train of His robe- speaks of His Majesty!
Atheism says there is NO Throne.
Humanism says MAN is on the Throne.
The Bible clearly says GOD is on the Throne!
2 Above it stood seraphim; each one had six
wings: with two he covered his face, with two he
covered his feet, and with two he flew.
Seraphim- literally means burning ones. As these angelic beings spent time in Gods
presence they were ABLAZE, on fire! (so too w/ us)
3 And one cried to another and said: “Holy, holy,
holy is the Lord of hosts; The whole earth is full of
His glory!”
It’s here we see the TRINITY- “Holy Holy Holy”
God is Holy! His wrath burns toward sin! This is FOUNDATIONAL to the gospel!
Not… Loving Loving Loving
God is Light & in Him there is no darkness at all!
3 And one cried to another and said: “Holy, holy,
holy is the Lord of hosts; The whole earth is full
of His glory!”
Hosts – armies / 100 of millions of angels.
1 angel so powerful- he killed 186,000 Assyrians
3 And one cried to another and said: “Holy, holy,
holy is the Lord of hosts; The whole earth is full
of His glory!”
These Seraphim had tremendous INSIGHT seeing
something a lot of mankind is blind too TODAY!
Psalm 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork.
2 Day unto day utters speech, and night unto night reveals knowledge. 3 There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard.

Day unto day they speak in every language of how
GREAT, CREATIVE, ORDERLY God is!
In our text we learn NOT only do the heavens
declare the Glory of God BUT the whole earth is
full of His Glory!

The Earth is just the right distance from the
sun… so we don’t burn up OR freeze.
The moon too is just the right distance from the
Earth otherwise the tides would overtake the
land several times a day
Our atmosphere provides a 50 mile deep
envelope of oxygen without which human life
could not exist.
Our oceans are just right depth or no life could
exist on planet earth!
• The Earth is titled at just the right angle 5

• What keeps these speeds constant?
The whole earth is full of His GLORY!”
The Earth is traveling at just the right speed to
support life.
The Plant life on earth…SHOUTS… of the Glory
of God!
The hubris, the audacity of fallen man….to think
that the vast array of plants on earth are a result
of an explosion… the result of CHANCE.

Look beautiful… artistically beautiful ….all of the
bright & variegated colors springing out of the dirt! (Miracle!)
Smell good ( heavenly ) ( Gardena’s & lilacs )
Taste good
Heal our bodies…
They come perfectly packaged- so they don’t
spoil & are not contaminated by bacteria.
From the eggs that birds lay to the honeycomb
bees produce…
From the design of the Woodpecker to the
migration of the Whales
The whole earth is full of His GLORY!” •

The Human Brain
The Human skull- is able produce a thousand
blood cells in fraction of a second…
Eyes Ears mouth
Our central nervous system / our spine
The body’s immune system & ability to heal itself
Reproduction system – A man & woman fall in
love ( heavenly) & complete one another so
marvelously, but our bodies also have this
capacity to create….the two becoming ONE.
3 And one cried to another and said: “Holy, holy,
holy is the Lord of hosts; The whole earth is full
of His glory!”
4 And the posts of the door were shaken by
the voice of him who cried out, and the house
was filled with smoke.
The way these angelic beings were responding was LOUD & PASSIONATE…. shaking the doorposts!
So taken back by the One on the throne they couldn’t help but respond! (Worship)
Q. Who has more reason to worship & praise God. The ANGELS or the CHURCH?
God sent his son to redeem NOT angels BUT man! Revelation 4 the church provoked to worship
every time the angles worship!
